Bokod, Benguet - In a simple ceremony on November 14, 2023, the simple yet extraordinary lives of two centenarians in Bokod, Benguet, took center stage as they were honored for their resilience, hard work, and commitment to a lifestyle marked by simplicity, nutritious food, regular exercise, and unwavering dedication. The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), along with Madam Michelle, presented each centenarian with a well-deserved financial reward of 100,000 pesos.
The recipients of this special recognition were Albino, affectionately known as "Altaki" Kicholan from Bosok, Karao, and Dam-ing Catayao of Kawal, Bobok-Bisal. These remarkable individuals embody the essence of a life well-lived, proving that age is just a number when one embraces a simple yet fulfilling lifestyle.
