In a decisive move towards community advancement, the 74th Regular Session of the 11th Sangguniang Bayan ng Bokod unfolded on November 28, 2023, at the SB Session Hall in the heart of Poblacion, Bokod. The session, led by the esteemed Municipal Vice Mayor and Presiding Officer, Honorable Atty. Erik Donn Ignacio, marked a significant chapter in the local governance of the municipality.
As a testament to the commitment to bolstering local legislation, the Continuing Local Legislative Enhancement Program saw the temporary takeover of the proceedings by Honorable Francis B. Delfin, the President of Liga ng mga Barangay (LnmB), during committee reporting and deliberation. This move underlines the collaborative efforts to ensure comprehensive and well-informed decisions.
Adding depth to the session, the distinguished presence of Honorable Mayor Thomas K. Wales Jr. and Madam Janet Ating, Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO), brought vital insights to the forefront. Legislative Actions Taken:
I. Approved Resolutions:
The assembly expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of the late SFO2 Melvin Baskial Madio, who passed away on November 25, 2023.
A strategic realignment of Two Million Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Pesos from Unexpended Balances CY-2023 General Fund to Support Bokod Foundation Day gained unanimous approval.
A significant resolution was passed, endorsing the realignment of the Unimplemented SNAPB-CSR Fund for CY 2017 (Construction of Public Market), CY 2021 (Construction of Engineered Sanitary Land Fill), and CY 2022 (Construction of Satellite Market). This realignment, totaling Four Million Five Hundred Thousand Pesos (PhP 4,500,000.00), is earmarked for the lease of a lot for Municipal Use at Poblacion, Bokod, Benguet.
